Please… It’s Plutoid not Pluto

Honestly, I didn’t understand so much about IAU’s or International Astronomical Union’s explanation why it should be Plutoid not Pluto.
(IAU has been responsible in naming planetary bodies and their satellites since the early 1900’s)
I just had to admit that of course I know there are stars and planets up above the sky, and that they are not likely to fall upon us at all. But other than that, oh.. astronomy is really not my strong point.
But, just for the record folks… since 2006 Pluto is already controversially demoted from the Planet kingdom and is now just a plain member of the Plutoid family together with Eris.
What is Plutoid?
As defined… Plutoids are celestial bodies in orbit around the sun at a distance greater than that of Neptune that have sufficient mass for their self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that they assume a hydrostatic equilibrium (near-spherical) shape, and that have not cleared the neighborhood around their orbit.
In short: small round things beyond Neptune that orbit the sun and have lots of rocky neighbors.
That’s it folks… plutoid not pluto…

“Oh, but you can still call me Pluto”
